My Daily Offering
0 Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all Apostles of Prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.

Morning Offering
Oh my God! I offer You all my actions of this day for the intentions and for the glory of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I desire to sanctify every beat of my heart, my every thought, my simplest works, by uniting them to His infinite merits; and I wish to make reparation for my sins by casting them in the furnace of His merciful love.

Oh my God! I ask of You for myself and for those dear to me the grace to fulfill perfectly Your holy will, to accept for love of You the joys and sorrows of this passing life, so that we may on day be united together in Heaven for all eternity. Amen.

Composed by St. Therese of the Child Jesus

The Apostleship of Prayer has always been a grass roots organization. It appeals to the great mass of people who make up the Church. If your trust in Jesus Christ leads you to accept His invitation to join His company how better can you show that trust than by joining all your prayers, works, and action to His. Pius XII concluded that "all the practices of the Apostleship of Prayer contain the sum total of Christian perfection".

The Morning Offering is the prayer of a woman or man on a mission. Jesus once said: "the harvest is great but the laborers are few. Therefore pray". How much more would He emphasize those words today! Time magazine calls our civilization a culture of stress. Suicide is the third most common cause of death among young adults in North America. Why would anyone lose hope; think life is not worth living? Many wonder: Is there anyone out there? Is there anyone interested in me?

From the heart of Christ comes the answer: "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened and I will refresh you'"The Morning Offering is our promise to make that message of Jesus known to everyone we meet during the day. It calls for a reflection in the evening. What were the words, actions I performed this day that took on special value because offered through Mary's hands? Was there any word or deed I would like to recall? What opportunities were there to help Jesus carry out His mission?

The early Christians thought of Jesus' message as a way of life. They called it simply The Way. Our Morning Offering is a reminder to walk side by side with Jesus as women and men of His company. It is a reminder that His footsteps can become quite visible in our time.
