A Prayer For Peace
God of Power and mercy,
We remember Christ your Son
Who is peace itself and
Who has washed away our divisions with his blood.
Because you love all people,
Look with mercy on us.
Banish the violence and evil in our hearts,
And restore your tranquility and peace.
All our faith is in your saving help;
Protect us from violence
And keep us safe from weapons of hate.
Help us to work without ceasing
For that justice
Which brings true and lasting peace.
Hear our prayers (pause to express your own intentions)
And remember the intentions of all our Companions.
Give us peace in our time,
That we may rejoice in your mercy
And Praise you without end.
Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
